Salem is a city in the United States of America, capital of the State of Massachusetts. It overlooks Massachusetts Bay. The city became famous for the Witch Trials of 1692, the films Hocus Pocus (1993), The Crucible (1996) and The Lords of Salem (2012), the video game Murdered: Soul Suspect (2014) as well as the novels by Nathaniel Hawthorne (The Scarlet Letter), who was born in Salem, the play The Crucible by theater director Arthur Miller and Hubie Halloween.
