Adidas Adizero Feather III shoes worn by the Italian tennis player Fabio Fognini for some red clay tournaments in the 2014 season, in particular Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Viña del Mar, and the Davis Cup against Argentina.
The shoes have been personalized with the tennis player's name and the Roland Garros emblem on the tongue. The shoes worn by Fognini at Roland Garros were the same style but a different color.
Considered one of the greatest Italian players ever, he boasts 9th place as his best ATP ranking in singles, reached in July 2019, and 7th in doubles, in July 2015; he is the only Italian player to have entered the top 10 in both specialties.
He is a specialist on clay, a surface on which he has won eight of his nine titles on the ATP circuit in singles, including the 2019 Masters 1000 in Monte Carlo, the only Italian victory in the competition since it opened up to professional players. His best result in Grand Slam singles is reaching the quarter-finals at Roland Garros in 2011.
In doubles he has been n° 7 in the ranking, the best position ever reached by an Italian tennis player, and has won seven ATP tournaments out of 19 finals, among which the Australian Open 2015, won together with Simone Bolelli, the only victory by an Italian team in a men's Grand Slam tournament in the Open era.
