Arianna Vairo was born in Milan in 1985. She has always been a designer, and trained as an illustrator and engraver. She has and continues to collaborate with, among others, The New York Times, Biblioteca Sormani and La Lettura; she created a permanent mural for Bocconi University. She has illustrated numerous books for publishing houses such as Nuages, Feltrinelli Foundation, Topipittori and Eli Edizioni. In 2017 she was representative for the Italian children's illustration at the Tehran Book Fair. Since 2014 she has been teaching engraving techniques and illustration at IED, in Milan and Turin. From 2013 to 2017 she was co-curator of illustration exhibitions at the Nuages Gallery in Milan and in 2019 at the Feltrinelli Foundation.
The artist donated this artwork to Terre des Hommes Italia and Le Belle Arti - ArtePassante Project.
The proceeds from the auction will go to the Terre des Hommes fundraising campaign in support of the Coronavirus Emergency to meet the most urgent needs of the many children and their families affected by poverty and hunger.
