'Sun Eater' Lithograph by Joan Miró

Absolutely stunning MIRÓ Limited Edition Lithograph after Miró's "Sun Eater", originally pulled by Mourlot in 1955, & listed Mourlot 218.

This particular lithograph is one of an edition of only 21, created in Frankfurt 2004 to commemorate 21 years since the great artist's passing on December 25th 1983.

Additional details:

  • The piece is in mint condition (never framed) and will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity detailing the history and characteristics of the article
  • The dimensions are 440 x 500 mms
  • The print is signed by Miró 'in the plate', visible at the lower right corner of the plate.

About Joan Miró

Born near Barcelona in 1893, Miró turned to art after moving to Paris. In 1923 his work saw a breakthrough when his symbolic-abstract style surfaced.

Considered one of the most important artists of his time, the poetic vision, drama and cheerfulness of Miró’s work shows a fascination with the primitive art of cave paintings.
