One limited edition collectors' watch, number 048/500, plus an exclusive Mercedes set featuring photographs, literature and car models produced to commemorate McLaren-Mercedes' 1998 Formula 1 world championship victory.
The display set and watch are entirely brand new and have only been opened for inspection. The watch, model number CG117.BA0423, was recently inspected by Tag Heuer and still has all of its seals and tags and its original outer packaging.
The set consists of:
- 1 Tag Heuer McLaren Mercedes watch engraved on the rear with number 048/500 and the signatures of Dennis, Haug, Coulthard and Hakkinen.
- 12 Large photographic prints commissioned exclusively for this set, each limited to a print run of 500. Four of the prints are signed by Mercedes legends Herrmann, Moss, Coulthard and Hakkinen
- 5 large information cards containing details of the collectors' set and Mercedes history
- 1 Aluminium display box containing models of Stirling Moss's 1950's Mercedes as well as Coulthard and Hakkinen's McLaren-Mercedes 1998 world championship winning cars
- The display box also contains parts from the 1998 McLaren car: oil used in the car, rubber from a tyre, a piece of the car chassis and an engine part
- 1 frame containing a custom print with space for displaying the watch. The print has a hole for the watch face to appear in the place of the head rest of the Formula 1 car. The frame will also fit all photographs included
The original retail price of this stunning set was over £6000.
Please note: The display box is very large (65x47x20cm) and weighs approximately 30kg.
