A product of the Atlético Madrid youth team, he made his debut for Atletico Madrid B before playing for Alavés, Real Madrid, where he won the 2017 Spanish Super Cup, the 2017 UEFA Super Cup, the 2017 FIFA Club World Cup and the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League, and Real Sociedad; he has played for AC Milan since 2019, where he won the Italian championship in the 2021/22 season. Called up to the French national team since 2021, with Les Bleus he won the UEFA Nations League in the 2020/21 edition.
