Francesco Totti is an Italian former footballer, who played as a striker or midfielder, world champion in 2006 and European runner-up in 2000 with the Italian national team. Considered one of the best Italian players of all time and one of the strongest in the world of his generation, over the course of his competitive career he always played for Roma, a team for which he was captain from 1998 to 2017, for a record total of 19 seasons, winning 2000/01 Scudetto, the third in the club's history, 2001 and 2007 Italian Super Cups and 2006/07 and 2007/08 Italian Cups.
