Manchester United Captain Wayne Rooney #10 played all 90 minutes. He tops the list of all-time goal-scorers for Manchester United, having scored an amazing 253 times in 559 appearances in all competitions!
Rooney arrived at Old Trafford ahead of the 2004/05 season having cost the Red Devils from Everton for an initial £20 million. At the time it was the highest fee paid for a teenager, as he was still only 18 years of age. He started well, making 29 league appearances and scoring 11 times in his first season as a Manchester United player.
During his 13 seasons with Manchester United, he managed to win five Premier League titles, one Champions League, one FA Cup, three League Cups, and the Europa League among other things. This has cemented his status a Manchester United legend.
Towards the end of his career, he was a player-manager for Derby. He now manages in the MLS, where he is in charge of D.C. United for whom he has also played.
