Brescia Calcio x Fondazione Brescia Musei
The style chosen for the Third jersey, is a tribute to the history of Brescia BSFC and the city of Brescia itself: the choice was to refer to the image of one of the most extraordinary bronze statues of the Roman era, the “Vittoria Alata”, the symbol par excellence of the city.
The jersey is reimagined on a navy blue background against which a golden “V” stands out and on the back of which appears the lettering “Lioness of Italy.”
In the design we find details and shapes that refer to the conformation of the two wide wings, characterized by long feathers, which give the figure a triumphant appearance, as if the Winged Victory had just descended from the Empyrean, or escaped a long battle and come before us to celebrate, precisely, her victory. A victory that becomes symbolic, iconic of the entire city of Brescia.
The reference to the famous appellation - “Lioness of Italy” - by which Brescia is known, refers instead to the lion-like courage with which the city fought during the Ten Days insurrection.
Brescia BSFC will auction the Third jerseys used during the Serie B Championship matches and donate the proceeds to Fondazione Brescia Musei to support activities to enhance, preserve and promote the statue that towers in Brescia's Capitolium.
