The Certificate of Provenance (COPR) is an official document that certifies the origin of an object, with all the specifications relating to it, including the date of purchase, description and photo of the product. Furthermore, on the COPR, the origin of the object is guaranteed by the foundation/body/association donating the goods.
The COP is a certificate that certifies the purchase of the product on the CharityStars platform.
It contains all the specifications relating to the product purchased, including the date of purchase, description and the first photo in the photo gallery.
In some cases, memorabilia bearing autographs, dedications or signatures are accompanied by certificates of authenticity produced by third parties. CharityStars undertakes to verify their reliability, but does not assume responsibility for the absolute truthfulness of these certifications as there is no regulated and official control body capable of certifying absolut originality. Not all lots are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, it will be in the description of the auction if an item comes with a certificate.
On the CharityStars platform it is possible to purchase additional certificates that represent added value for the object or experience awarded.
These certificates, which can be selected during the bidding phase, are the COP (Certificate of Purchase) and the COPR (Certificate of Provenance) and they can be provided retrospectively for purchases made on the platform within two years from the payment date.
